Ja ich mag Coverversionen. Ich mag auch Neuinterpretationen in anderen Musikrichtungen. Aber irgendwie gibt es auch eine Grenze des guten Geschmacks und die haben die Black Eyed Peas jetzt deutlich gemacht. DER Dirty Dancing Song Time of my Life ist 1. kein Partysong und 2. Kult und darf deshalb nur in musikalischer Ernsthaftigkeit angefasst werden, spätestens seit Patrick Swayzes Tod. Klar wird sich gerne an bekannten älteren Melodien vergriffen wenn der neueste Party Hit mal wieder ne eingängige Hook braucht und auch wenn das so üblich ist, ist es dadurch noch lange nicht gut. Und von den Black Eyed Peas hätte ich erwartet, dass sie in der Lage sind sich selbstständig zweizeilige Party-Mit-Gröhl Melodien auszudenken. Also DAS muss jedenfalls nicht sein!
