Gestern wurden die Grammys verliehen und wie bereits im Artikel über die Nominierungen erwähnt, waren wie immer die üblichen (langweiligen) Verdächtigen dabei wie zum Beispiel die diesjährigen Konkurrentinnen Beyoncé und Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift und Black Eyed Peas, die auch in den Hauptkategorien abstaubten. Auch im Bereich der gitarrenlastigen Musik waren einige große Namen dabei wie etwa AC/DC die (für mich unverständlich) die Beste Hard Rock Perfomance gewannen oder die Kings of Leon, die mehrfach abstaubten. Überblick über die (für mich) wichtigsten Grammy Gewinner 2010:

• Platte des Jahres: Use Somebody – Kings Of Leon
• Album des Jahres: Fearless – Taylor Swift
• Song des Jahres: Single Ladies – Beyoncé
• Beste Pop Vocal Performance (weiblich): Halo – Beyoncé
• Beste Pop Vocal Performance (männlich): Make it mine – Jason Mraz
• Bestes Pop Album: The E.N.D. – Black Eyed Peas
• Bestes Dance/Elektro Album:  The Fame – Lady Gaga
• Beste Solo Rock Vocal Performance: Working on a Dream – Bruce Springsteen
• Beste Rock Performance by a Group: Use somebody – Kings Of Leon
• Beste Hard Rock Performance: War Machine – AC/DC
• Beste Metal Performance: Dissident Aggressor – Judas Priest
• Bester Rock Song: Use Somebody – Kings Of Leon
• Bestes Rock Album: 21st Century – Green Day

Der Grammy 2010 geht an… einen der Nominierten die auf einer seeeeeeehr langen Liste (109 Kategorien!!) auf Grammy.com veröffentlicht wurden.

Während die Nominierungen für Record of the Year für meinen Geschmack etwas sehr poppig ausfallen:

• Halo – Beyoncé
• I Gotta Feeling – Black Eyed Peas
• Use Somebody – Kings of Leon
• Poker Face – Lady Gaga
• You belong with me – Taylor Swift

und die Kategorien Album of the Year und Song of the Year von fast den selben Beteiligten bestritten werden, bin ich besonders gespannt auf den Ausgang der Kategorien im Feld Rock.

Nominiert für den Grammy für den besten Rock  Song sind zum Beispiel:

• The Fixer – Pearl Jam
• I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight – U2
• 21 Guns – Green Day
• Use Somebody – Kings Of Leon
• Working On A Dream – Bruce Springsteen

Obwohl ich sagen muss, dass ich keinen der oben genannten Songs besonders überragend finde.

Best Metal Performance:

• Señor Peligro – Ministry
• Hate Worldwide – Slayer

und Best Hard Rock Performance (wie sind Nickelback da rein gekommen???):

• Burn It To The Ground – Nickelback

und zu guter letzt noch Best Rock Album:

• 21st Century Breakdown – Green Day
• Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King – Dave Matthews Band
• No Line On The Horizon – U2

Ich würde bei fast allem sagen, schwere Wahl, aber nicht unbedingt weil jeder es verdient hätte sondern weil die Nominerten irgendwie für mich persönlich nicht gerade Granaten sind. War wirklich so wenig los 2009? Da vermisst man ja fast diese netten Ausnahmetalente bei DSDS
