Pink! Raise Your Glass zum Greatest Hits Album

Was ist das für ein seltsamer neuer Trend, “Greatest Hits” Alben zur Karrierehalbzeit zu veröffentlichen? Im Fall Pink wird immerhin mit dem Zusatz “…so Far” die Unsinnigkeit einer solchen Aktion gewürdigt und gleichzeitig abgefedert. Auch das Veröffentlichen neuer Songs auf einem Album mit dem Titel “Greatest Hits” … findet den Fehler. Es sei denn natürlich, die Damen und Herren der Musikindustrie besitzen hellseherische Fähigkeiten und die neuen Songs werden tatsächlich eines Tages zu den Greatest Hits gehören?

Leider muss ich da enttäuschen. Versteht mich nicht falsch, die Auswahl der insgesamt 19 Songs (1. Get The Party Started / 2. There You Go / 3. Don’t Let Me Get Me / 4. Just Like A Pill / 5. Family Portrait / 6. Trouble / 7. Stupid Girls / 8. Who Knew / 9. U + Ur Hand / 10. Dear MR.President / 11. Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely) / 12. So What / 13. Sober / 14. Please Don’t Leave Me / 15. Bad Influence / 16. Funhouse / 17. I Don’t Believe You / 18. Whataya Want From Me / 19. Raise Your Glass ) ist durchaus gelungen und so eine Portion geballte Pink Power gehört in eine ordentliche Musik Sammlung. Wenn das Ganze dann als Sahnehäubchen noch ein paar neue Sounds mitbringt – von mir aus. Ob es unbedingt der Gute-Laune-Partyhit Raise Your Glass sein muss sei mal dahin gestellt, ich sag mal “einem geschenkten Gaul…” und so weiter.
